A marketplace designed
for daily tattoo care
Solutat is a specialized marketplace dedicated to tattoo professionals. It brings together new and used tattoo equipment, studio gear, accessories, care and hygiene products, as well as items offered by manufacturers, artisans, builders, creators, independent brands, suppliers, and specialized resellers.
Not all sellers or products are meant to be on Solutat. The platform maintains a selection policy in order to preserve the coherence, quality, and specialization of its offering.
This charter defines the common principles to which users and sellers on the platform adhere.
A marketplace dedicated to tattoo professionals
Solutat is designed primarily to meet the needs of tattoo artists, studios, and individuals on a professional tattoo journey.
The platform can also accommodate professional sellers from other sectors when their products are genuinely relevant to the tattooing profession.
Each member undertakes to:
- Act in accordance with the framework applicable to one's professional situation
- Comply with the rules and requirements specific to the products he sells or uses
- Provide accurate and up-to-date professional information
A bold selection
Solutat is not intended to become a general marketplace. Presence on the platform is based on the actual relevance of the offer for tattoo professionals.
Solutat can notably take into account:
- The usefulness of the product in the daily routine of the tattoo artist or studio
- The consistency of the brand, product, or seller with the professional tattoo universe
- The quality of the offer and its presentation
- The apparent compliance and traceability of products when relevant
Transparency and high standards
Trust relies on clarity. Each seller commits to:
- Accurately and honestly describe the offered product
- Clearly indicate its condition: new, used, open box, or any other applicable category
- Provide visuals that are faithful to the product actually sold
- Do not conceal any defect or element likely to influence the buyer's decision
- Provide the necessary regulatory information when the nature of the product so requires
New products offered by certain brands, creators, suppliers, or professional resellers may be sold at a fixed price. When a listing is identified as being at a fixed price, the «Make an offer» feature is not available.
Hygiene and health responsibility
When a product is directly related to the practice of tattooing, hygiene and health safety remain the top priorities.
- No consumable or single-use product that has been used on a person may be offered for sale
- A consumable intended for use on human skin cannot be presented as such if it is open, expired, or unfit for this use.
- Open, altered, or expired ink cannot be presented as suitable for use on human skin.
Individual responsibility
Solutat acts as a marketplace intermediary and does not replace the seller, the manufacturer, or the buyer.
Each member remains responsible:
- Advertisements and information that he publishes
- Of the products he offers, sells, or acquires
- Compliance with the obligations applicable to its activity
- On the quality of his interactions with the other members
- On the compliant use of purchased products
Respect and professional climate
Solutat aims to maintain a professional, respectful, and constructive space for exchange.
Any abusive, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, fraudulent, or overtly inappropriate behavior is inconsistent with the spirit of the platform.
Transaction integrity
Adhering to the transactional framework of Solutat ensures access to secure payment and the procedures provided in case of an issue.
Members agree not to use the platform's tools to intentionally organize a sale or payment outside of Solutat.
Prohibited products — Solutat rules
In order to maintain a professional, consistent, and responsible offering, the following are strictly prohibited, among others:
- Any consumable or single-use product already used on a person
- Any unsealed sterile consumable or one whose integrity cannot be verified
- Any opened or altered ink
- Any counterfeit product or one of manifestly doubtful origin
- Any product banned from sale or subject to a withdrawal or recall preventing it from being put back on the market
- Any product not sufficiently relevant to the tattooing profession or the selection line of Solutat
- Any expired product sold or presented as suitable for use on human skin
